A new case study is available. Saltel Xpandable Steel Patch covers unwanted perforations and allows resuming fracturing operations.
The client had to interrupt hydraulic fracturing operations after the first stage. The jet perforating tool’s accidental activation during POOH generated two unwanted sets of perforations in the 4.5in 13.5 lbs/ft casing 800 m depth. The client could no longer pressure up the whole string to continue stimulating the well. He looked for a downhole remedial alternative to restore full integrity and resume the fracturing operations at 9,500 psi.
