Once expanded against the borehole, Xpandable Steel Packers compartmentalize the annulus into independent parts

Cement provides casing annulus seal between the reservoir, geological formations, and the surface during the life of the well. Therefore, any issue encountered during the placement, curing, or after several years can lead to significant safety and environmental issues.

Saltel Xpandable Steel Packers are set in the uncured cement sheath. Once expanded against the borehole, they compartmentalize the annulus into independent parts, preventing channeling and micro-annulus from spreading between them the curing phase.

As reliable and permanent expanded metal packers, they also guarantee long term annulus and provide back-up to cement during the life of the well.
