Standard Expandable steel Patch's

Description

The Standard Expandable Steel Patch is a permanent solution used to repair a zone of damaged tubing or casing, to shut off unwanted perforation or other remedial operations.

Service temperature is up to 120°C, the range extends from a 4 ½ in casing Patch up to a 13 3/8 in model.

High Temperature Patches are available on demand, but are not carried as a standard product.

Two to four different Standard Patch models per casing size allow the user to optimize either the maximum drawdown rating or maximum inside diameter after setting.

The nature of the Patch materials and the setting progress mean any one Patch can usually be set in the full range of casing of a given weight, and sometimes far more. For example 7in slimline Patch can be set in most 7 5/8 in casings.

External service pressure, job planer

The totality of the Patch range has been qualified by performing a large quantity of tests at different temperatures and in different tubular weight in order to quantify the patch sealing capacity and its collapse pressure. The result of the qualification campaign has been summarized in the Patch Characteristics Datasheet; data are given for room temperature service pressure.

For other tubular dimensions, or for different service temperature, the Job Planer developed by Saltel-Industries gives all the necessary data to perform a job.
