IPES Présentation
The remarkable capability of Saltel-Industries Inflatable Packers enables to expand a several millimeter thick metal spool when positioned inside it.
It allows repairing sections of the well by expanding the metal liner.
This range of product, called Inflatable Packer Expandable System (IPES), is particularly adapted to the rehabilitation and optimization of wells.
It can be equally applied for cased-hole producers or injector wells, and can also insulate losses in open-hole applications.
Equipments
Saltel-Industries designs and builds all the equipment necessary for installation.
The expandable tubular is a cylindrical liner, made of highly ductile alloy radially expandable, with an external rubber covering for optimum sealing.
The Expandable tubular stays in the well after the operation.
The Down Hole Control Tool (DHCT) is a setting tool which allows the expansion of the Expandable tubular by applying a very high interior pressure.
The DHCT contains an Inflatable Packer controlled and inflated from the surface. Connecting parts enable connection to a standard Drill pipe or coiled tubing.
The DHCT enables inflation or deflation of the Inflatable Packer using a single line, whatever the fluid level or fluid density may be.
The Hydraulic Skid is a surface pump module enabling the deformation pressure by pumping fluid from the surface. Deflation phases are controlled by the Hydraulic Skid control panel.
The Surface Equipment allows the packer to work in cycles of inflation and deflation.
All data are monitored and recorded from surface.
Once the relining operation is complete, the DHCT can be pulled out of the hole and used again.
