Inflatable Packers Quality Policy:

The Inflatable Packers used to Expand the Patches are high-tech elastomer composite devices used in very harsh environment and extreme conditions.

They must support several cycles of inflation/deflation (more than 80) without major permanent increase in diameter, under high pressure (300-700bars), at high temperatures (up to 150°C).

Taking in consideration the cost of the consequences of a failure during the job, it is essential to have the guaranty that the Inflatable Packer will reach its specification and will perform the numerous cycles without malfunction.

The Inflatable Packers are confectioned in multi layers of different materials added one after the other mainly manually, each layer covering the previous one, and then vulcanized several times.

Each manufacturing step needs to be controlled and validated.

A final pressure test confirms the Inflatable packer is ready to be used.

Quality Policy includes for each Inflatable Packer :

• 500 measurements
• 60 validation signatures
• A final test at service pressure with pressure curve
• The Production controller goes through and controls the entire production data file
• A Quality data sheet, signed by the Quality Management, guaranties that the Inflatable Packer is conform of the specifications
